Sacrifice

All is not as it seems as a dragon swoops in to devour the maiden sacrifice. Is she a professional dragon slayer acting as bait? Did relatives or friends sneak her that dagger? No matter the tale, she means to fight! I had a lot of fun designing her clothes and jewelry. The dragon's coloring is based off of several different species of humming bird.

Watercolors, ink, tea-stained Arches paper, white gel pen (my new best friend), and a touch of gray prismacolor pencil to darken some shadows. Photographed because the scanner wanted to make everything more yellow because of the tea stain.
